Establishing a Virtual Production Workflow
The project focused on assessing the industry partner’s virtual production (VP) capabilities based on current resources, identifying gaps, and creating targeted workflows for various production scenarios.
A plan for a virtual production showcase event was created that can serve as a basis for highlighting key technological assets and service offerings. In the second milestone, we installed and tested an alternative tracking system on the VP stage, ensuring integration and functionality for diverse use cases. This resulted in the successful deployment of an OptiTrack motion capture system integrated into the studio’s current hardware setup, validating technology support requirements, and the successful deployment of Unreal Engine projects for in-camera visual effects (ICVFX), affirming operational viability. The final milestone concentrated on establishing best practices through thorough analysis and testing. We refined specific use cases and developed corresponding assets for an industry event, emphasizing the studio’s capabilities within virtual production.
