As part of a developing area of specialized training, SIRT welcomed virtual production visionaries Joe Lewis and Isaac Partouche for an inspiring one-day workshop on virtual production workflow for visual effects.
Joe and Isaac led more than 70 members of Ontario’s screen industry through discussions and case studies of their respective real-time VFX previs solutions, Encodacam and Solid Track, both leading-edge tools found on major international feature film sets. Both presenters discussed technical challenges and considerations, and offered a range of on-set examples from films like I, Robot, Oz: The Great and Powerful, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Participants experienced these solutions at work in real time through extensive hands-on demonstrations.
