Sheridan’s Screen Industries Research and Training Centre (SIRT) was on location at the Higher Education Summit in Toronto on Dec. 1 and 2, bringing its popular virtual production photo booth to the event’s Transformations Expo.
The photo booth was a demonstration of real-time compositing by utilizing a green screen, digital camera, live facial capture data from Faceware Live, and motion data from the Vive tracking system to demonstrate virtual human puppetry.
SIRT’s research leads and students developed the cutting-edge spin on the traditional photo booth to be presented earlier this fall at xoTO House, an invite-only industry event during the Toronto International Film Festival.
